I just wanted to share a quote that has special meaning for me today on this Easter Sunday…..”Jesus Christ is the ONLY cure for death”. I’m SO thankful for the gift of the Cross and for the significance of that empty tomb even though I don’t fully understand or comprehend it! I can only accept it with a humble and grateful heart. May you, your family and your ministry be blessed in a special way today and always!

      Thanks Linda,
      Very comforting words…

Easter is always a time that makes us especially mindful of the magnitude of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross AND His plan for our redemption!

A friend of mine recently told me of a question one of his friends asked him; “How could such an omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent loving God create a world knowing many of his creation would be lost?

      My response was somewhat complex:

“As for your friend who in essence, has questioned Gods plan… the first thing that comes to mind is that Gods ways are not our ways! (Isaiah 55:8-9) We cannot expect to be able to comprehend how the LORD of Lords immeasurable mind works!!! I can only imagine that when we reach Heaven, there will be many questions that we’ve sought answers to here on earth… that Jesus will ultimately shed light upon!

What about the larger picture? What about the fact that God created Lucifer in the first place; knowing that he would turn against Him? And what do we know about… regarding the vast universe and the unknown number of inhabitants that may dwell within it!

When Satan rebelled… there were apparently countless lives of existing saints at stake – of those who already were alive and created, before the earth and its inhabitants were formed! In the great Cosmic Battle between good and evil God perhaps looked at the potential of those who would be lost here on earth (by their refusal to be obedient to His laws) as casualties of Spiritual Warfare! Sacrificing few… to spare many! (Though it would not be His decision that earthly inhabitants should die… but their own!)

Who are we, but specks of dust, to question the authority and the wisdom of a timeless God who with a word – hung the Sun, Moon and the stars in their place… with such precision? Were the earth to be an inch closer to the Sun, we’d disintegrate from the heat of it… or an inch further away, we’d freeze! Who are we to question the creator of all life, here on earth and throughout eternity? Until the end of time as we know it, we will continue to speculate as mere mortals and be perplexed by unanswerable questions! FAITH and FAITH alone is – and must be – our shield against unbelief! (Ephesians 6:16)

In closing, we will not always, of our own wisdom, be able to clear up issues regarding Gods ways to man. In Luke 12, Jesus said: “Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

Though we are to make every possible effort to bring light to where there is darkness… we must leave the balance of the conversion process up to the Holy Spirit, trusting those souls into the more than capable nail pierced hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!”
